New Construction Garden Windows

New Construction Garden Windows

Garden Windows add a bright and new dimension to window design, with their protruding design. The projection from the exterior wall of the house is 17 inches.  They have a fully welded, rigid  PVC vinyl frame for added strength and stability, and the vinyl frame will not chip, rot or peel. It features a snap in sill cover for seat board which provides aesthetic appeal, weather resistance, and storage. And the snap in corner slope closure profile assures a tight weather seal.

The standard garden window jamb depths of 4 9/16″, 5  1/4″, 6 9/16″ and 11 inches.

Garden Windows feature locks and operators that are mounted to the inside front area for easy access and operation. These operators are sealed to prevent air and water infiltration. They are twin sealing, fully screened, operating casements with external glazing for improved weather protection. There is also a multi-point locking system that provides a tighter seal and added security. The two venting side units, operate similar to Casement Windows, where the pivot point is on the inner most vertical wall, and the unit swings outward, as shown in the picture above.

A base unit includes the Seat Board, Jambs up to 6 9/16″, Venting Side Units and a Glass Roof.

How to Calculate Rough Openings for New Construction:
Take Unit Dimensions and add 1″ to the width and 1/2″ to the height.
Example: On a DG2424, the dimensions are 29 5/8 x 56 1/2.
29 5/8 + 1 = 30 5/8 Rough Opening Width
56 1/2 + 1/2 = 57 Rough Opening Height
