Our replacement Hopper Windows feature part of the bottom section removed to fit in over the metal that is in the bottom of standard basement windows. These units operate in the opposite way of casements; their pivot point is on the bottom and they swing out and down, similar to the way an oven door operates.
Hopper Units have glass options which can include, though is not limited too, clear, and low e. They also have options in grids and screen, and can even cut for a steel frame. A standard unit will include 3 1/4″ Frame, 7/8″ Clear I.G Glazing, Lever Handle, Aluminum Sill Angle and Head Expander.
Note on the sizing of Replacement Windows
Manufacturing will ALWAYS deduct 1/4″ on the width and 1/2″ on the height when given dimensions that are NOT specified as Tip to Tip.
