The SWS Mill Shop is located at our SWS Manufacturing facility in Gardner, MA.  We work with wood and PVC.

Custom Wood Trim

If you’re looking for just the right custom wood trim, you’ve come to the right place. SWS makes custom wood mouldings out of cherry, maple, mahogany, and poplar and other woods are available.

 Custom PVC

With the advent of PVC, the impossible has become possible.  For exterior trim, we actually heat up the PVC and thus can mill and bend just about anything you can imagine.   Entrance units can have just the right intricacy and detail to make your home a show place.   Our custom entrance units with a large pediment on top looks like a large mantle.   For a truly one-of-a kind look, contact SWS and we can make your impossible dream a reality.

SWS Windows

The SWS Mill Shop makes our own veneer which is used in making quality laminate hoops for the SWS Window jambs.

Stair Treads

SWS Custom Stair treads are just beautiful.  We make all the stock for the straight treads and return treads in hickory and maple.   Double-ended returns and full starting steps with riser box are standard fair.   Especially elegant are the tongue and groove treads we can make with seamless corners and a real tight, professional look.

Custom Knives

A custom knife is made of hardened, heat-treated steel from a customer’s physical wood sample.   Using the sample, SWS creates an exact profile and the custom knife becomes the template for the machine to carve out the wood to perfection.   Voila, you have custom moulding which can match exactly something originally done even a century ago.

Unusual Project? No problem!

SWS did a full refurbishing of the famous Big Gardner Chair.   Special mahogany was brought in to match the original wood.   Everything was notched in with dowels.  The completed project can be viewed in the photo section on this page.
